香港國際機場第三條跑道今日（25日）正式啟用，被編配為機場新的「北跑道」。

香港機場管理局發言人表示，新跑道自7月8日試運行至今，總計已有超過1.1萬架次飛機使用該跑道。目前，該跑道每日運作超過10小時，本月至今平均每天有超過140班飛機使用。
